I started walking around 2007 as a way of getting some exercise, and ensuring that I spent some time away from a computer/TV.

The first couple of years involved walking around the Southport/Alt Valley area,  but I got bored of the flat, monotonous landscape and started venturing up to the Forest of Bowland and the Lake District.

In March 2010 I purchased the ‘Pathfinder Guide: Lancashire Walks’ with the intent of completing all 28 walks. There is no timescale to this challenge, but I figure it will take 2-3 years. The first walk was completed Friday 19th March 2010.
