Me

I’ve lived in Southport since 2001, having been born and raised in Dudley, and spent some time living in Huddersfield, Halifax, Vancouver and Liverpool.

I’m in my mid 30s, married, one cat, no kids. I have a desk job in the NHS.

I’m not the fittest person in the world, but I enjoy walks that give you a view, and a sense of accomplishment; that normally means some sort of hill!

I don’t mind walking in a group as long as it’s not too large, but I’m happy to walk alone. In fact, at the end of a busy week in work I often prefer to walk alone – get some time to myself, blow away the cobwebs.

I prefer to take a day off work in the week to go walking rather than actually walk at the weekend. There are two reasons for this:

  1. It’s quieter. A beautiful view is easier to savour on your own
  2. I might miss some good football/rugby/cycling on the TV
